One thing never changes, and that is the Grand Ledge Board of Education’s commitment to excellence. In fact, we lead the district with one goal in mind: preparing the next generation to take their place as leaders in a complex world. Whether it’s demonstrated in the classroom, concert hall, laboratory, or school store, student academic achievement is still our highest priority.
We call ourselves “A Community Committed to Excellence,” but in Grand Ledge, these are more than just words. Every day, we see teachers, administrators, coaches, custodians, cooks and bus drivers going above and beyond to help students succeed. We hear of young people whose efforts and hard work have earned academic honors and athletic championships. And we’ve watched the entire community step up time and again to volunteer skills, materials, support, and tax dollars to ensure students have safe, state-of-the-art places to learn.
We’re not perfect, and sometimes we let ourselves down. But along with a culture of excellence, we’ve committed to continual improvement. We remain open to ideas, and we seek out new and better ways to serve our students. You can help, by staying involved, sharing your thoughts, and making a positive difference for kids.
My fellow board members and I cannot thank this community enough. We know that support of our schools is support for a bright future. Your commitment to the Grand Ledge Public Schools is what makes this a great place to live, learn, work and play!
