The Grand Ledge Police Department is asking for the community’s help in locating a person involved in a reported attempted abduction of a grade school student in the City of Grand Ledge. A Grand Ledge grade school student reported to police that an adult attempted to order her into a vehicle Monday January 23rd at 4 PM in the afternoon in the area of E. Jefferson and Russell St. in Grand Ledge.

The suspect vehicle was described as a red full size Chevrolet pick up truck, new in appearance and in very good condition. It had a standard size box with a black vinyl snap down cover on top. The vehicle had an MSU license plate with a spartan S on it. The vehicle also had a “Spartan Helmet” emblem on the tail gate.

The accused was a white male late twenty to early thirties, clean shaven with a thin build. The suspect was dressed in an orange hat, blue jeans, and a black leather coat with a spartan emblem on the chest.
